Monday 24th June - Friday 28th June 2013
This week we welcomed Ysabellah to our class. She turned 5 on Sunday and had her first week in the Pukeko Class this week.
On Thursday Mr White was our teacher for the day. We read the poem about Incy Wincy Spider and then made spiders out of paper plates.
Today we had a Mangaroa Kindy come to our school and visit our classroom. We were great role models and enjoyed having them in our class.
During Discovery we made paper bag houses, coloured in, got creative with the boxes, made fortune tellers and played with the cars and garages.
We were on assembly item this week. I will put a video up on Monday of our item.

Monday 17th - 21st June 2013
Lots has been happening this week!
On Monday Constable Kerry Fenton came to talk to us as part as our 'Being a good Citizen' topic. He gave us some good examples of being a good citizen and talked about what can happen if you are not a good citizen. Our teacher was impressed at the examples we told Constable Fenton about being a good citizen.
On Wednesday morning we had the Graham Braddock Art Workshop. We all drew a picture of a penguin by a bucket on the beach. All of our drawings look amazing as we did a good job taking our time and listening to instructions.
This week we also finished stage two of our phonics programme and next week will start on stage 3. This will be looking at CVC words and blending them together.
During Discovery Time this morning, we made snowflakes, mobiles, and butterfly cards. We worked so well together that we had a bit longer for Discovery today.
