What a great start we have had to Term 3!

To start the term off we looked at our Class Rules again and as a class decided on which rules we wanted to use, to keep up a great working environment.  We all signed our names to these rules.  

We have done some fabulous writing about our holidays.  Come in to read our stories.  
It sounds like you all had a fun holiday.  

On Wednesday, Hunter brought in some very special news to share with us.  He has a baby possum that he is looking after and introduced him to the Pukeko Class.  He was very small and very cute!  We enjoyed listening to Hunter telling us all about him and then having a pat.  

Today we had a Marble Jar Party.  We have been so good this week that we got the 5 marbles we needed to top up the jar in the first 2 days of being back at school!  We had a choosing time with the ipads, computers, mobilo, marble racer, colouring in, making hats and music.  We also enjoyed an ice-cream!  Lets hope we can earn another marble jar party soon!

Wednesday 10th July 2013

This week the Life Education Bus has been at Plateau School.  Pukeko Class went on the bus Monday  and today to meet Jo and Harrold the giraffe.  We learnt about keeping ourselves safe and what we need to do to look after our bodies.

Today we have been celebrating Hairy Maclary's 30th birthday.  At lunch time in the library we had a range of activities to choose from such as colouring ins, worksheets and making puppy ears.  After lunch Alex came and read us some Hairy Maclary stories.
