On Tuesday Ronald McDonald came and visited us to talk about road safety. We learnt about wearing our seatbelt in the car and how to stop, look and listen when we cross the road.
On Wednesday we had a special assembly to say good bye to Mrs Nicol. Mrs Nicol has been at Plateau School for the last 6 years and has done an amazing job, we will miss her in the library.
This morning we had the World of Maths day. We got into groups of three and four, and had to do different activities and find out the answers. This was heaps of fun and there was a huge range of activities to do. Thanks to the parents and grandparents who came and helped read the questions and instructions.

As this is a massive topic, we will be specifically looking at the Maui Dolphin and how it has become endangered and what we can do to help it.
This week we have been learning about extinction.

On Monday afternoon we had a guest speaker come and talk to the whole school about how to speak confidently in front of others. She was really interesting to listen to and had lots of great tips on what to do when speaking in public.
We have been learning how to skip count in two's this week. Come and check out our pairs of socks and see if we can count how many socks there are by counting in two's!
We had a little longer for Discovery Time today since we had to get our school photos taken in the morning. Our teacher was impressed with the way we shared the toys and computers and the way we have been talking to other people. For example, asking others nicely and using our manners.
