Week 8 Term 1

This week has been busy with visits and special activities. On Monday we had 2 special visitors. They came with the two ladies who look after them and talked to us about dog safety.

If a dog is on it's own, leave it alone because it might bite you. Thomas

On Wednesday Neville came to school with his fantastic bikes. We wrote about the rocket bike.

I went on the rocket car. It was fun but it was hard to reach the pedals! I liked it.  By Kyla.

Friday was Fancy Feet day. We enjoyed watching the parade and at Discovery Time we made our own Fancy Footwear.

Week 7

We have been working at drawing our self-portraits.

We looked at work by an artist who has done many artworks with children playing. Her name is Graciela Rodo Boulanger. She uses lots of bright colours and patterns in her art work. We have tried to do the same.

We are proud of our portraits, we hope you like them too!

Week 6.....Our Trip To Wellington

On Monday morning we were so excited to see the big double decker bus waiting to take us into Wellington.

The first show was at the Opera House. The Carnival of the Animals. It was very good. We loved watching the acrobats. Then we walked to Te Papa where we had a quick morning tea break.

This lovely building is the Circa Theatre where we watched the human puppet show. We thought it was very funny, especially when the caterpillars tried to eat each other. We laughed and laughed.

Our trip was so much fun, and we came back to school on the double decker bus again!
