Term 2 week 1

We were all happy to be back to school after the holidays. 

This week we welcomed three new people into our room; Casey, Kaitlin and Leah, so now there are 13 of us in Pukeko.

On Tuesday we had a Kiwikick session with Maddy and her buddy. They taught us how to do a drop punt. You use this skill in AFL.

Our inquiry focus for the first two weeks is Anzac. We have been discovering what and why Anzac is all about. We are making poppies for our field of remembrance. Thomas' dad is in the army and he came and talked to us. He showed us his medals.

Some of us will have been to Anzac parades.

We will be able to share what happened with one another on Tuesday.

Week 9 term 1

This is the last week of the term which seems to have flashed by. We have been very busy and this week has been no exception!

On Tuesday we had our Junior School Swimming Sports, it was lots of fun and we especially liked the horse race riding on the noodles and splashing across the pool.

Then on Wednesday we had our Time Out party. For half of the tome we were in the pool again....lots of splashing and playing, so much fun!

Have a Happy Easter holiday and enjoy the term break too. We are looking forward to welcoming Kaitlin, Casey and Leah to our class in the first week.
