Term 2 week 6

Every Friday we have Whanau Time. Our Whanau leaders do a wonderful job planning activities for us to join in with. This week was a little different as each group was split into juniors and seniors and then two junior Whanau groups joined for activities. One group did bubble blowing. The other did painting.
Do you think we enjoyed ourselnes?

King of the Mountain

This week we made our first video! We had been reading 'I'm the King of the Mountain' together.
We had so much fun reading the story. We made masks and told the story. At assembly we presented our video. We hope you enjoy watching it!

Term 2 Week 4

This week we have photos of us in the hall for PE. We have been learning and practising large ball skills. It is fun.
On Wednesday evening was the Plateau Science and Technology Challenge. Two families from Pukeko Room took part. They worked together to construct a poppy using only paper, string and sticky tape. It required problem solving skills and cooperation! We'll done Marie and Jamie and their families!
On Thursdays we work with our buddies from Ruru doing Math challenges. This week we completed our symmetrical butterflies. They look great.
Thanks Ruru friends, we look forward to our next activity with you.

Term 2 Week 2

Once again we have had a busy week.
Some of us went to Anzac Parades last Saturday. In class we have been talking, reading books and watching video clips to understand the significance of Anzac Day.
Last week at school there was a Field of Remembrance and we made poppies to go on the crosses. Now, we have a wall of remembrance in our room.

We have also been thinking about Autumn, there are so many beautiful autumn leaves to be seen. We have read some autumn poems and done some leaf rubbings.

Hanging up in our room are some lions. Our letter which we have been focussing on has been Ll.
We are great letter detectives!
Thank you for taking time to view our blog!
