Discovery Time
Each Friday we enjoy Discovery Time. This allows us to explore and discover through play. Often there is a theme for our activities. This week is the beginning of Seaweek so our colouring-in sheets were underwater creatures. Box modelling is also a favourite activity, we made pirate boats!

Self Portraits
We have worked hard to create our self portraits. We looked carefully at our photographs and thought about what shape our head is. We also discussed where on our faces our eyes, ears, mouths and noses are positioned. Once we had drawn the outlines we used black marker pens and crayons to colour in. Finally we chose which paper to use as our backgrounds. We think we've done pretty well!

Swimming with Pukeko
We are so lucky to have our school pool where we are learning to swim. Especially now while we are experiencing such warm weather! Pukeko go swimming each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Fridays we are able to practise our water skills as we have fun in the pool.

Our first class photo
We are in one of our favourite places at school!
What a fine group of young learners! We have so much to experience, learn, achieve and share....keep visiting our Blog this year to see our progress.
First week in Pukeko for 2016
Welcome to our first blog this year. Our class currently has 10 students. 7 of us began in 2015 and 3 of us started on Monday. We've had a great first week back, but it has been very hot which is tiring!
On Tuesday's we visit the library with Mrs Davidson which we all look forward to.
