Jump Jam, Gymnastics and a trip to Expressions

Every morning our day begins with Jump Jam. The whole school takes part. It is a fun way to exercise.
This week we have been participating in Gymnastics. We know how to jump and land to show what we have done.
Today we went to Expressions where we viewed the Brick Flicks exhibit and spent time constructing our ideas with Lego. We also viewed the Camp Katherine exhibit and learnt how to do some stitching. We had a great morning.

A busy Discovery Time with our Kindercare visitors

This week we had 9 visitors from Kindercare who joined us for Discovery Time.
Our focus this term has been on our Golden Rules which we've been exploring at Circle Time. One of these has been thinking about how we can be gentle and kind in our relationships. Our teachers are impressed with the ways we show gentleness and kindness as we share, take turns, cooperate and relate to one another.
Discovery Time is a great time to explore, create, problem solve and work cooperatively.

Folk Dancing with Tui and Tuatara

For PE we have been having lots of fun in the Junior school learning and practising folk dances. We have to listen carefully to the music so that we do the correct steps.

We step and clap and spin and tap and bend. We love the Bird Dance😀

Pukeko's 100 days of school celebration

The last day of term two was also the one hundredth day of school for this year. Every morning during Calendar maths we mark how many days school has been open and over the last couple of weeks it has been exciting as we've counted closer and closer to the 100 mark.
To celebrate we made fairy bread with 100's and 1000's sprinkles. We made fruit kebabs and iced and decorated biscuits. To top it off we had jelly! Thanks to Aurora's mum Ana for her help! It was so much fun, especially eating it all!

Afterwards we made some great patterns on the floor. We are learning to work together and co-operate.
We missed our friends Rosalind, Alex,  Mayjah and Daniel T. Have a great holiday, see you next term!
