Tuis feeding in Kowhai trees

Our inquiry is focussed on changes in seasons. In Upper Hutt there are many beautiful Kowhai trees which are flowering and so there are also many Tui. We have looked at Kowhai flowers closely and drawn them. We then looked at photos and movie clips of Tui feeding in Kowhai trees. Often they hang upside down so that they can get their long beaks right inside the flowers. Here are our art works which we have now completed.

Term 4 in Pukeko

After our holiday we are back at school ready for new learning and experiences.
In the last weeks of term 3 we read lots of Dr Suess stories. One of our favourites was Bartholomew and the Oobleck. during Discovery Time we made our own Oobleck. It was slimy, gloopy and lots of fun!

On Friday we had a dance lesson in the hall. We learnt some great dance moves.

Dance is great!
