Green Gold Enviro Celebration

Monday was our celebration day for being awarded Green Gold as an Enviro School.
We had a special assembly with some special guests. Our Kapa Haka gave a great welcoming performance. We are so proud of Aurora and Grace.
We received an Enviro flag, special certificates and a totara tree.
After a picnic lunch on the field we participated in some fun activities with our Whanau groups including planting a sunflower seed, chalk drawing, scavenger hunt in the bush and painting pennants. It was a wonderful celebration day. Well done Enviro Group!

Sand Saucers😊

On Monday afternoon as part of our Seasons Inquiry we used Spring wild flowers to make sand saucers. Have you ever made one? Mrs Schroeder did when she was our age for the A&P show at school. We were going to go and find daisies and leaves outside but it was too wet! We enjoyed creating these beauties!
What do you think? Happy Spring!

Whacky Hair Day

This Friday was Whacky Hair Day and there were some very creative hair ideas!

It was also Discovery Time and our golden rule is that we listen to others and don't interrupt. Sometimes that is hard but we are learning to be good respectful listeners! During Discovery Time we enjoy visiting Tui and Tuatara to create and learn.
