Term Two

After the holidays we've come back to school and we have been observing and noticing some changes in our environment. We have found evidence of Autumn as we've looked at the trees in our neighbourhood. We've also discussed changes in the weather, the shorter days and how these changes influence what we wear, what we eat and the activities we participate in.
We went for a walk up in the bush. Thank you to all the wonderful parents who have worked on making the track better and easier for us to walk on. We love our bush walk. When we sit up at the look out we can see so much of the school and our neighbourhood.

During Science week we will be doing some experiments to help us with our wonderings about Autumn....why do the leaves change colour? Why do they fall off the trees?

  1. But I thought Plateau School was making a big thing of cutting most of its trees down because they are dangerous! I much prefer to see that you are showing your students how much trees can teach us. They are not nearly as dangerous as cars.
